Looking down across the centre of Swanage in 1950 from the air.
On the edge of the beach you can see the anti-tank concrete blocks from WWII and the temporary link between the wooden pier and the concrete pier section.
On the recreation ground on the lower left side you can see the bandstand, war memorial, tennis courts and a bowling green. The tennis courts are now a car park and the bowling green area is now the Santa Fe childrens play park.
