Studland Steam Ferry No 1
The first steam powered ferry which ran on chains between Sandbanks and Studland across the entrance to Poole Harbour.
Ferry no 1 was steam-driven and originally constructed to carry 15 cars and later modified to carry 18 cars.
This ferry was in service between 1926 and 1958.
