The Pier Entrance and Charabanc
This photo which dates to the 1920s shows the entrance to the Victorian Pier from the steep hill which takes you to Peveril Point.
Next to the pier is a Charabanc which is an early motor coach, usually open-topped, common in Britain during the early part of the 20th century. It has benched seats arranged in rows, looking forward, commonly used for large parties or groups to tour the area.
