High Street Flags for Coronation of George VI
This photo which dates to December 1937 and shows the High Street in Swanage decorated with flags and banners for the Coronation of George VI and Elizabeth on the 12 May 1937.
On the left of the photo the sign for the Red Lion pub is visible, on the right side of the road are the following businesses:
Fish shop selling lobsters from the bay.

Spratts Foods
The cars and vans are parked on both directions as the road was two-way traffic before it was changed to the one way system we have today.
