Wordsworth House in 1930

Wordsworth House is located on the corner of Durlston Road and Belle Vue Road. It was built in the late 19th century by Bishop Wordsworth. The young Thomas Harty was one of the architects on the project before launching his literary career.

Wordsworth House started as a convalescent home for TB sufferers, before becoming a care home, the care home closed in April 2021
