This photo from the late 1800s shows the old cliff track linking Durlston Castle with The Downs and Swanage.
This path has since fallen into the sea due to coastal erosion.
This photo was scanned from a book called “Picturesque Swanage Photographic Views of Swanage, Durlston, Studland” and was published at Burts Stores, Swanage which was in the lower High Street.
