Peveril Towers and the Wellington Tower
This photo from the late 1800s shows a large private residence called Peveril Towers on the left with the two Victorian Piers behind with a large paddle steamer moored at the pier.
To the right of the photo is the Wellington Tower with its original spire.
This photo was scanned from a book called “Picturesque Swanage Photographic Views of Swanage, Durlston, Studland” and was published at Burts Stores, Swanage which was in the lower High Street.
