Meet Your Host: Ruth McEwen, is a fully qualified and insured, Chakra Dancing and Creative Meditation Therapist, Reiki Master, and Tibetan Bowl Sound healer. Ruth is a registered member of www.chakradancing.co.uk, and The Reiki Federation uk. Chakra Dancing is a Freeform dance class that is suitable for everyone over the age of 16 years, and all abilities. No steps to learn, just let the music move you !The ancient word ‘Chakra’ means energy wheel. Our chakras are located over, and assist the body’s major organs to function effectively. When our chakras are out of balance, we may experience unwanted physical and mental health symptoms and issues. Ruth guides you to dance the way you feel to, in a safe and welcome space without judgement, to music specially created to resonate with the vibrations of the body’s 7 major Chakras . After the 1 hour dance, Ruth offers the dancers a 15- 30 minute guided Meditation. Leaving you feel energised, yet relaxed.Research has proven that the benefits of regular somatic movement and dancing, includes: decreased stress levels and harmful cortisol, and an increase in the release of ‘feel good’ hormones, leading to improved mental health. Dancing increases one’s self-confidence, and social confidence, improves the body’s bone and muscle strength. Improves balance and joint flexibility. Regular dancing is also a really fun way to assist with maintaining a healthy body weight. Chakra Dancing enables ’healing the body through movement and dance’. Cost per 2.5 hour class: £12Please wear comfortable stretch clothes you can move, dance and stretch in.
