Birdwatching for Beginners Walk at RSPB Arne
Sunday, 06 April 2025
10:00 to 12:00
Type: Animals and Conservation
Booking Required: Yes
If you enjoy being out in nature and have always wanted to take your birdwatching skills to the next level, this is the walk for you. Our Birdwatching for Beginners is an event aimed at people who want to learn more about birds and how to identify them. You may already feed birds in your garden or you might have taken part in our Big Garden Birdwatch that has inspired you to want to learn more as a hobby.
Bird watching is about enjoying nature and finding delight in the little things and enjoying the experience.
Come join one of our expert guides to look and to listen for a range of bird species across RSPB Arne nature reserve, no previous experience required. This guided walk will cover everything from optics to identification tips. So, whether you wish to find out more about Arne's heathland specialists, to the birds that can be found in your garden, get the chance to walk around a nature reserve with newfound confidence!
The guided walk will take 2 hours and follows our shoreline trail, taking the group through ancient woodland, heathland to saltmarsh and shoreline. It will give you an opportunity to spot a variety of birds along the way.
The walk will finish with coffee and cake in our café, included in the ticket price.
Ticket prices:
RSPB Members £18:60
Non-RSPB Members £23:00
